Traditional villages, history and natural beauty
Overview
A very nice and easy walking trip at two of the oldest and most historical villages of the island adorned with many historic elements. Walk in lush vegetation ,over an old stone bridge , admire the view resting in the shadow of a huge tree outside a 16th century chapel and find out why it keeps its doors locked for 364 days per year!
Enjoy strolling into the alleys of San Marco, the summer resort of the Venetian aristocracy during the 17th century and find out why Ano Korakiana was the last village that agreed for the union of Corfu with Greece ending the British occupation. The trip contains walk in quiet, idyllic olive tree paths and of course a cool refreshment or a “frappe” at the local kaffenion.
