Pantokrator mountain - Corfu as seen from above
Overview
This is a hiking trail for people who won’t mind a little harshness as long as they will be rewarded from the views, the wilderness and natural beauty. Starting our ascend from a remote church through olive trees, deserted sheepfolds and wild flora we will make our first stop only a few hundred mt from the top of Pantokrator mountain. There we can admire(weather permitting) the south end of Corfu island, the Greek mainland and the Albanian coastline with the town of Saranda. Our descent will take place amongst the shadow created by the high trees leading us to the next break at the ruins of a deserted byzantine chapel where the view of East and West Corfu is simply magnificent.
Last trail to the...civilization is a demanding one overlooking the beautiful Spartilas village as we descend amongst rocks and lush vegetation.
